How to Protect your ceramic pots for winter

Step 1: Measure the Depth of your pot and subtract 1inch.
and measure the circumference.

Step 2: Get 1/2 inch insulation, Home Depot is a good place, and measure out the depth minus an inch and the circumfernce

Step 3: Score insulation along line with a razor blade
and bend to crack and score the opposite side.

Step 4: Cut isulation into small rectangle pieces to set along the edge of the pot, make pie shaped pieces for tapered pots.

Step 5: Place pieces around the edge of the pot.
Gaps are O.K.

Step 5: Fill with potting soil

and now your pot is ready for winter!
All you need now are some spruce tops!
